FRANKFURT: Daimler expects an increase in working revenue at its Mercedes-Benz vehicles and vans division in 2020 as sales rebound, it said on Thursday, after the German automaker reported a second-quarter lack of 1.68 billion euros ($1.9 billion).
On a bunch stage Daimler expects a fall in EBIT this year.
Daimler had outlined the figures last week when it said it might cease constructing Mercedes-Benz sedans within the United States and Mexico as it seeks deeper price cuts.
Chief Financial Officer Harald Wilhelm said Daimler wanted to vary its price construction in the long run.
Daimler said on Thursday that cost-cutting measures had helped to counter the influence of the pandemic on its companies together with Mercedes-Benz vehicles and vans and Daimler vans and buses.
Its enterprise has been hit by showroom closures and slumping demand throughout lockdowns launched to halt the sp of the coronavirus.
Daimler Chief Executive Ola Kaellenius said the company’s Mercedes-Benz luxurious model will search to develop its high-end luxurious car section as a solution to hike earnings.
“I see the strongest growth in the upper end of the segments where we are active,” Kaellenius informed journalists in a name to debate the company’s quarterly outcomes.
