JEE Main 2020: Union HRD Minister Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal on Thursday said that the Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) has determined to loosen up the eligibility criterion for admissions to NITs and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions. The choice has been taken in view of the present coronavirus pandemic.
The Minister on his official twitter deal with wrote, “JEE Main 2020 qualified candidates will now only need to obtain a passing certificate in class XII examination irrespective of the marks obtained.”
Usually, candidates should have secured at the least 75% mixture marks in Class 12 (or an equal) Board examination or ought to determine within the high 20 percentile of profitable candidates of their respective Class 12 (or equal) board examination.
Recently, the Joint Admission Board additionally determined that the candidates who will clear the JEE Advanced shall be eligible for admission to IITs no matter their class 12 marks.
